Tempe Woman Commits Assault With Bicycle Chain

On November 11, 2008 at 3:49 pm, Doreen Ann Hefley (07-02-67) was arrested for aggravated assault in the area of Smith Rd/University Dr, Tempe after investigation revealed she struck another female on the upper right back with a bicycle chain wrapped in plastic tubing.

While being detained, Hefley committed aggravated assault on a police officer by swinging her closed fists and striking the officer in both arms.

Hefley was transported to Tempe City Jail where she was booked and held to see a judge.
