THIRSTDAY NIGHT CAFE The Mexicanas of the Tempe Normal School: A Look at the Cultural and Educational Foundation of Tempe, 1885 to 1936 Dr. Christine Marin will discuss the children, born of unions between Tempe's Anglo-American men and Mexicanas, who were among the earliest Mexican American alumni of the Tempe Normal School. These provide examples of the educational history of Tempe. This program is part of a series of free monthly programs, presented by the Tempe Historical Museum, that run from September through November and January through April on the third Thursday of the month.
