Listserver linking from your web site

Most of the Tempe lists are open to all.  If you have a web site and would like to offer the subscription service to one of the lists from your site....read on.

The example we will use is for the TEMPENEWS list.  You can include a link on your site and we will handle the subscription AND send them back to whatever page you'd like.

Here is a sample link:

Subscribe to Tempe News

This link will take you to the signup page for the Tempe news list and then return you to the main Tempe home page.

The syntax for the hyperlink is:

/lists/control.aspx?list=tempenews&return=http://www.tempe.gov

The query string parameter called 'list' should have the name of the list you want them to subscribe to.  The 'return' parameter is the URL you want them to be able to return to when they are finished.

There you go...

So, you don't loose the visitor, AND you offer the service to help them subscribe to a list relating to your site.
