Autumn Colors in Japan

Local photographers K. Richard and Harumi Sato Douglas brought the photographic beauty of the Japanese countryside to Tempe through original works of photographic art from the group Shadan -Tonbo.

The Shandan -Tonbo photographers are located in and around Tokyo, Japan. Their use of light and color combined with superb artistic skills provide the viewer a treasure of images and an expanded visual horizon of Japan. The exhibition highlighted numerous cityscapes and landscapes with vibrant photos of places, such as Shiga Koge, Nagano, Motosu Lake, Yamanashi and Edogawa. A map of Japan pinpointed photographic locations.

"Shadan-Tonbo" means "enjoying photography with multiple views like dragonflies, while having a lot of fun," according to Sato Douglas. Sato Douglas and Richard joined 11 other Japanese photographers in the exhibition.
